Elena Christodoulou is an award-winning Producer, bringing over two decades of high-end production and script development expertise to her work at Once Upon a Time script consultancy.

 

Elena spent 17 years of her career at the BBC. During this time, she perfected her craft across a wide range of scripted shows, from real-life story dramas and continuing dramas to scripted comedies, comedy-dramas, and feature-length dramas, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of what makes a script not just good, but exceptional.

 

Elena has developed an array of shows for a wide range of International Broadcasters including the BBC, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, HBO Max, AMC, Channel 4, Sky, ITV and UKTV. 

 

Elena’s passion for nurturing talent was further expanded by her work leading writers’ rooms, helping both emerging and established writers hone their unique voices to create compelling and engaging stories: from new writers’ courses and marginalised voices schemes to writers’ rooms for some of the biggest shows on streamers like Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

 

Throughout her career, Elena has contributed to a raft of award-winning television programmes whose prestigious accolades include BAFTA, RTS, Emmy and Rose d’Or awards. She has also script edited films which have won or been selected at the British Short Film Awards, Manchester Film Festival, Brighton Rocks International Film Festival, the Julian Dubuque International Film Festival (USA), Forward Film & TV Festival, Cine International Film Festival, The English Riviera Short Film Festival, Short. Sweet Film Festival (USA), Cine Horror Film Festival (Brazil).

 

Elena is a graduate of the prestigious Screenplay Development course at the National Film and Television School.
